Academia and other actors meet at events. They are important for sharing information, learning new things, and building cooperation. In the Lahti area universities are involved in scientific seminars, conferences, public lectures, and other scientific events for the public.

The coordination unit of the Lahti University Campus organizes a variety of events every year ranging from small staff events to Lahti Science Day, the largest science event in the region. Our strengths are good networks and long experience. We are here to help both academia and other event organizers. We can help you with, for example, communication, identifying regional audiences or finding expert speakers. The best events are often created together.

Complete solutions for the entire life cycle of the event are also possible. Lahti University Campus recommends that anyone planning a congress in the Lahti area should get in touch with them as early in the process as possible.

Free services include, for example:

• planning and booking of partners, premises, accommodation, and side program
• preparation of the preliminary budget and a review of possible sources of support

Lahti Science Day

Lahti Science Day is an annual science event that is open and free to the general public. It showcases the results of the research and development efforts carried out in and focusing on the Päijät-Häme region. The event also highlights the role that these efforts play in promoting the region’s business, industry and well-being. Lahti Science Day is organised by LAB University of Applied Sciences, Lahti University Campus and the Vierumäki Campus of Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences.
