Lahti Science Week is an online event that will take place from November 16 to 20, 2020. The event replaces Lahti Science Day this year. The aim of the Science Week is to bring the biggest science event in the area within everyone’s reach safely and extensively.

Due to current situation, Lahti Science Day will be replaced with a week-long online event called Lahti Science Week.

The purpose of the event is to explore a wide spectrum of research and development activities carried out in the Päijät-Häme region.

Moving the event online allows for location independent participation and presentation. The extended duration of the event removes unwanted overlapping between sessions, making it easier to follow the schedule. During the event, the aim is also to record as many of the presentations as possible and publish them in the event page for later viewing. All of this means that the participants have access to a much larger number of presentations than in the past.

The program of the Science Week will be published in early October. The goal is to come up with an interesting and diverse program with each day having its own thematic identity.

The updated call for papers is available here.

Deadline for abstracts is September 13. Those who have already sent their abstracts will be contacted by organizers and do not have to send new abstracts.

The event is organized by LAB University of Applied Sciences, Lahti University Campus and Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences at Vierumäki Campus.
