Forest hike for researchers
19.2. klo 15:00 - 17:30
Hi researcher!
Want to go outdoors in winter, but never really tried? If you want to get a quick view of how to get around in the Finnish forest in winter, join us on a short hike. It’s easy one with snowshoes (or with shoes) and m for everyone, does not require a high level of fitness. We’ll have an experienced guide Jaakko Lattu with us.
In the middle of our hike, we’ll have something to eat by the fireplace. At the same time, we’ll organize a quick discussion session concerning outdoor life and nature experiences. The hike is free of charge, and it is organized by the project Liiketoimintaa lähiluonnosta / Local nature as business booster (funded by the European regional development fund).
Time: 19th of February from 3 pm to 5.30pm
Place: near city center, Salpausselkä Park, address Hämeenlinnantie 59, 15800 Lahti. We’ll meet at the parking lot. More detailed information and discussion about how to reach the place will follow.
Conditions: we’ll check the weather conditions beforehand and make sure that the weather is okay for our short hike. We’ll also give some advice on how to dress.
