Lahti Science Day, open to all and free of charge, will present the results of research and development in or about Päijät-Häme in November. This time there will be more than 50 presentations from different scientific disciplines.
The 2024 Science Day will open with a discussion on “Kestääkö maailma liikenteen sähköistymisen?”, led by Research Director Ville Naumanen (LUT University’s and Kempower’s Electric Mobility Research Centre EMRC), Specialist Ville Tikka (EMRC) and Professor Ville Uusitalo (LUT University).
As usual, the programme will continue with several parallel sessions, from which the audience can choose the sessions to follow according to their interest. The sessions will consist of short presentations on the latest research results and their relevance.
– We were pleased to be able to include a comprehensive overview of the research field in the Päijät-Häme region. The programme includes research perspectives and discussion openings on topics such as planetary health, food, university business cooperation, social welfare and the urban environment,” says Noora-Helena Korpelainen, chair of the Science Day programme committee.
Lahti Science Day will be held at LAB University of Applied Sciences’ premises at Mukkulankatu 19 on 12 November from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is organised by Lahti University Campus, LAB University of Applied Sciences, Wellbeing services county of Päijät-Häme, University of Helsinki, LUT University and Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences Vierumäki Campus.
