Australian Elliot Stuart was the first student to graduate from the Master’s degree programme in Multidisciplinary Studies on Urban Environmental Issues, provided by the University of Helsinki, Lahti Campus.
Elliot’s Master’s Thesis topic was "Water quality, catchment imperviousness and Water Sensitive Urban Design in a small urban stream in Helsinki, Finland". His thesis is also a good axample how a university and a city can cooperate and enhance the creation of research-based knowledge.
